I recently spent a few days at Aura Pottery, and it far exceeded my expectations while giving me exactly what I didn't know I needed.

From the moment you arrive, you're greeted by fresh air, sprawling green spaces, and the friendliest dogs. There's an immediate sense of calm that gently invites you to slow down.

Andy and Anya are the perfect blend of warmth and wisdom. They have created a space that feels both inspiring and deeply comforting. The rooms are cosy, the mornings are unhurried, and there's no rigid schedule or pressure to be anywhere. You simply move through the day at your own pace.

The meals are wholesome and nourishing, and one of my favourite parts was gathering around the table with the other guests. There's something beautiful about sharing simple food with people you've only just met.

The days are spent immersed in clay, while the evenings are for long walks, swims, and relaxed pre-dinner conversations. It's the kind of place where time seems to slow down.

I came home with an entire dinner set that I made myself, and they handled the shipping so effortlessly. Andy takes a genuine personal interest in ensuring everyone completes their work, while Anya quietly orchestrates everything behind the scenes, making sure every guest feels cared for.

I'll definitely be back. I already can't wait to switch off from the world and return.

What I loved most is that this isn't just a pottery retreat. It's a space for personal growth. As you shape clay with your hands, you begin to realise that the clay is shaping you too. Working with something as raw and fundamental as earth reminds you to slow down, let go of perfection, trust the process, and allow yourself to be moulded in unexpected ways.

the most gorgeous space on a serene farm with two of the most lovely hosts and wonderful doggies! Andy is such a great teacher and has many incredible stories to tell over the delicious home cooked meals (where lots of the veggies and mangos are from the garden). There’s plenty of opportunities to expand your creativity and really make the experience your own! you can start the day with yoga, have an afternoon swim in the pool and read a book on the hammocks which are all around the property. A home away from home that you will never want to leave and you will meet the best people in the meantime! ❤️
IG often oversells and under delivers. But every once in a while, if you’re lucky, you may chance upon a true treasure. Aura pottery was such a vibe, full of heart and soul and inspiration! Can’t believe how quickly the week passed and how much it left me wanting for more. The most warm and hospitable hosts, the most wonderful teacher - Andy focused so much on basic building blocks and fundamentals in the beginning that on day three most of us were flying solo! Add to that the lush green environment, the most friendly Dogs, the wholesome and yum food, most of it grown at the farm itself, it was an extremely fulfilling week. Definitely will recommend and would go back for sure. Left a piece of my heart with Fifi and Bono. xxx

The Aura Experience is so much more than a pottery retreat—it’s a peaceful sanctuary where creativity, nature, and community come together beautifully.

Andy and Anya have created a warm, welcoming space that encourages freedom of expression and mindful creativity. Working with clay in such a meditative setting is incredibly grounding, and the delicious food, beautiful studio, and lovable dogs make you feel instantly at home.

The best part is the wonderful community they’ve nurtured—full of kind, inspiring people who make every visit feel special. I left feeling calmer, more creative, and already looking forward to coming back.

This is THE retreat to be at. Andy and Anya have created a safe haven for anyone who wants a break and rejevunate from the stresses of their daily routines. The ecosystem around is healing - from all the dogs and cats, to little creatures, to the trees, and the interiors - everything serves its purpose bringing you closer to your inner child. The pottery studio and lessons are something that will ask you to slow down. Andy teaches with so much contagious passion and the studio challenges you to bring your visions to life, no matter how unrealistic they might be. You will truly have the best time!

Sometimes, the most beautiful experiences are the ones you never knew you needed. 🌿✨

I came to Aura with zero knowledge of pottery and left with a new skill, a quieter mind, and a heart full of gratitude.

From the delicious home-cooked food and the furry companions to the serenity of nature and the warmth of every person I met, everything about this place felt special. But what truly made it unforgettable were Andy and Anya, who welcomed us like family and made us feel at home from day one.

A special thank you to Andy for being an inspiring teacher. Every lesson was filled with knowledge, encouragement, and a genuine love for the craft.

What I thought would be a week of learning pottery turned into an experience of slowing down, creating with my hands, connecting with wonderful people, and rediscovering the joy of being fully present.

Forever grateful for the memories, the learnings, the cute doggos and the people who made this experience so meaningful. Until next time. 🌼🤍

One finds Aura at a time when they most need to disconnect from their everyday life, soak in the goodness and feel again. That’s my personal belief and true to form, Aura came at a similar time in my life and thank god for that. Andy not only patiently teaches you pottery but, life lessons that’ll last one a lifetime. She’s clear in her thoughts, immensely patient and has an eye on each and every student in the course. Aura will teach you humility, patience, love for what you make, to think five steps ahead, to pick yourself up every time you give up and more than anything to experience pure joy.
Anya, runs the property and the studio with ease and professionalism that’s hard to come by. Between the two of them, they make this life seem the obvious choice managed with utmost ease and an ever welcoming hug. Your time at Aura will be spent learning, feeling gratitude and building a community that’s hard to come by. Thank you for sharing this with all of us.
Being at Aura Pottery has honestly been one of the most fabulous experience of my life. It was the perfect time for this lovely bubble of serenity, creativity, sweetness, this sharing, this beauty, these learnings, these delicious meals, this great moment of relaxation, meeting Andy and Anya, who are warm, brilliant, funny, and smart, and all the beautiful souls I met there.
I also really enjoyed the morning yoga.
I came for one little little week, I finally stayed two, and I know I’ll be back ! Can’t wait to meet you again ♥️

Aura Pottery was EXACTLY what I imagined, if not better. Easily the best decision for my 3-0 birthday!!!

From the food, to the space, to the kind of women Aura attracts, you can absolutely tell Andy & Anya have built this place with so much intention. The aura truly attracts the people it’s meant to. We walked in as strangers and spent the evening hanging out like long-lost girlfriends.

And if that’s not enough, you actually learn pottery the best way possible!!! i.e with patient mentorship, lovely staff, the sweetest dogs, and so much greenery around you.

One of the most wholesome and cherished evenings I’ve had in a long time 🙂

I did a two week pottery course at Aura pottery in Chandigarh recently and boy I hit a jackpot. !!
It was one of the most rewarding experiences I had . The place, the course , the people and the four legged friends ( 4 very friendly dogs and many cats on the property) , everything is just so adorable.
Anuja and Aanya put their heart and souls in making this retreat a memorable experience for the participants. A big thank you and hug to them. I’m definitely coming back!!

I came to Aura Pottery for what I thought would be a pottery retreat and ended up leaving with so much more. I spent three months here, and this place flourished me in ways I never expected: creatively, personally, and spiritually.
When I arrived, I was going through one of the lowest periods of my life. Andy met me exactly where I was. Her unwavering optimism, wisdom, patience, and generosity slowly but surely helped me see things differently. Every conversation, every lesson in ceramics, and every shared moment carried something valuable. She has a remarkable gift for teaching not only pottery, but also perspective.
Anya deserves just as much recognition. Behind the scenes, she is the heart of the operation, making everything run seamlessly. Her dedication, patience, kindness, and constant support are felt in every corner of Aura. She is the kind of person who quietly inspires everyone around her through her work ethic and presence.
Simply being there feels like a privilege.
Whether you come to learn pottery, reconnect with yourself, find inspiration, or simply slow down for a while, Aura offers something rare and genuine. It is more than a retreat, it is a community, a sanctuary, and a place that stays with you long after you leave.
Thank you, Andy&Anya, and the entire Aura family for an unforgettable chapter of my life. I will carry a piece of Aura with me wherever i go ♥️
PS: i now consider myself a proud aunt of four. Fifi, Bosh, Bono and Mylo. These doggos are one of the many things that makes this place so special.

Well words don’t really describe the magic that Andy and Anya have created here. The house itself is a testament of hope- the studio of creative bliss and the people just heart warming. If anyone needs their creative juices to flow or to return to themselves you have found the right place. I cannot thank you enough.

It’s also clean, food delicious, animals and gardens grounding and some of the best yoga I’ve done. I stayed for 21 days and left only 3 days - I think that says it all. Thank you thank you.

This retreat was exactly what I needed as the perfect end to 2025. The space is beautiful & the sense of community made it truly special. Im so grateful to Andy for being the best mentor and radiating such contagious, positive and uplifitingenergy & Anya, for being so warm and welcoming! The yoga sessions with Amisha were a beautiful complement to pottery which added so much balance and intention to each day. The food was absolutely exceptional, Payal & her husband made the most heartiest and nourishing meals for us and meeting their four wonderful dogs made the experience even more memorable. I think I have officially became a dog lover after spending time with them. Such a positive & grounding experience from start to finish. This place truly felt like home away from home& I can’t wait to come back!

I loved my stay at Aura Pottery! And yes, 1 week is less. Nestled on the outskirts of Chandigarh, Aura Pottery was the perfect green getaway for me from work and city-life! With lip-smacking food! Super friendly dogs and very quiet watchful cats!
Andy's style of instruction was incisive and a lot of fun! As a beginner to pottery, I had a lot of questions and she was always there with clear answers and guidance. There was an excellent balance between daily interactions and review with Andy and complete creative independence with unlimited access to the pottery studio and clay!
And kudos to Anya for being an extremely attentive host.
I know I will be visiting Aura Pottery again ❤️

Rachel

Five stars! I stayed at Aura Pottery for almost 3 weeks. I thoroughly read their website and emailed to ask additional questions. From the very start and throughout my visit, everyone was so helpful. My stay was comfortable and enjoyable with a private room, delicious meals, and excellent pottery instruction. I was able to have the perfect experience of learning and relaxation. You will not regret time spent at Aura.

I have just completed a four-week stay at Aura and would thoroughly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to recharge their batteries, get creative, and learn new skills. The daily pottery sessions were very enjoyable, and I learned so much from Poornima who is a wonderful teacher. Every single person at Aura was super friendly and welcoming. The food and accommodation were excellent, and the gardens (full of wildlife) were inspiring. Happy to give a 5 star review and am already planning my next visit!

Lakshay Nagpal

I spent three weeks at Aura Pottery. I loved it. Aura is its own hidden oasis with many trees, fruit trees and gardens. I got to learn at my own speed. It gave me time to look at my process’s and make templates with guidance from Raksha the studio manager and potter. One of the great things about Aura, is that it gives you an experience in India with out it being full on and in the big busy cities. The studio is really well equipped and I was totally happy with the accommodation. If you are looking to improve your pottery or learn Aura is a great studio to be in.

Alex Rods

Amidst endless hues of green, with orchards of yellows, reds and colors in between. sweet limes, papayas, guavas and figs, everyone was free to have their pick. A lounge, a mess and rooms to stay, a loaded studio, a pool, and swings from trees and hammocks to sway. Tea and coffee at hand as u please, while a sit by the lily pond puts ones mind at ease. Two beautiful labs, tofu n Fifi, as cheerful n loving as labs can be. While A beautiful hostess gives u lessons on creating with clay, a braided, lil coordinator makes sure u have a perfect stay.

Michelle Fine

I have just spent 3 weeks at Aura. it is the perfect place to be creative. I wanted to do things I’d never done before like casting. if there is a will there is an opportunity. It is a beautiful place and if you need the big city it’s a bus ride away. Being the only foreign artist here, I was made to feel so welcome by the people who worked there and made to feel like one of the family with the lovely Guptas…thank you I wouldn’t have missed it for the world!

Dalveer Singh Veeru

About my experience at aura, it was really nice. I learned loads and it was great to have the studio for myself. I would only recommend it to someone who’s independent because you need to be able to work on your own. Also making the studio space a little more comfy and with more care would be a plus. The food was great to my taste.
