EXCELLENT Based on 91 reviews Ayesha Marfatia2025-05-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Would highly recommend experiencing Aura - not just for pottery but also for the beautiful lifestyle, environment, food, people, and pets. I had an extremely peaceful (but also exciting!) week at the farm and studio, where I built my hand-building skills and also got a crash course into wheel throwing. I left with so much gratitude for all that Andy and Anya do and all that they have built. Life at Aura is incredible and also a little bit baffling - but in the best way. In the "wow you really can design your life and environment with intentionality rather than just going through the motions and letting life happen to you" way! It was a week full of nurtured learning, comfortable accommodation and wonderful food. I couldn’t speak more highly of Poornima, she taught me so much every day in a very encouraging way. I will definitely be back for at least another week. Radhika Gupta2025-04-27Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. A place that’s warm and welcoming to all levels of potters. My one week flew by and can’t wait to go back. Gained valuable experience from all instructors and inspired from their creations. It surely got my creative juices flowing. The accommodation is clean and comfortable. The house cooks do a wonderful job with cooking delicious and nutritious meals from produce grown on the premises. Thank you to each and every member including the loving pets of Aura for making my stay a memorable one. Dana Lundmark2025-01-07Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Aura Pottery Retreat was a total surprise and unexpected delight. Beautiful setting! Sharing my rough drawings, thoughts and ideas with the Aura team was inspiring. The team was always willing to help. They were on hand when I needed assistance with clay, moving pieces and thinking outside the box to achieve my desired ceramics project. I had a very rewarding experience not only on a personal level but also in creating a piece which challenged me. Thank you. I am very grateful and value my time spent with you. The team at Aura was great at coming up with a plan for me to both develop new skills I wanted to gain and provide focused time to work on new projects. I learned a lot in the short week I was there, all while having a lot of fun with the team and other guests there. The people, food, instruction, and accommodation were all perfect! My only regret was not spending more time there…can’t wait to go back! :) Rebecca English2024-12-17Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wonderful experience! I did around 10 days at Aura Pottery and every moment was absolutely perfect. The farm is so relaxing and welcoming, I felt at home straight away. I had such a great time and learnt so much both on the wheel and hand building, within those 10 days. The instructors Poppy and Poornima are the best I have ever come across, they are both so attentive and knowledgable and so willing to share their pearls of wisdom! I got a lot of 1 on 1 tutoring from them which was invaluable. The food was delicious, my room was super comfortable and I felt so looked after by the WHOLE aura team. I can’t wait to return, I will most definitely be back. Thank you Aura team x Ekta Oza2024-12-09Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The artist trainers, Purnima and Swastika were both excellent teachers - patient, understanding and very talented! The farm, the food and the overall stay matched the experience of working with clay very well. I will be back soon for a longer workshop.
The studio is a roughly 1000 sq. ft. space, dedicated to the art of ceramics. The inside of the studio is segmented into throwing areas, hand-building spaces, and drying, finishing, and storage areas. It is a modern, well-equipped space with access to all necessary tools. The glazing activity is carried out in the open. All sides of the studio building open onto various courtyards that have other facilities. Find more here.
